Pros

Kraken

Seattle's National Hockey League team visits the Las Vegas Golden Knights for 7 p.m. Saturday action before dropping in on the Anaheim Ducks at 7 p.m. Tuesday and on the Los Angeles Kings at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The Kraken cruised to a 5-1 home victory Tuesday over the Washington Capitals before downing the Toronto Maple Leafs by a 5-2 score Thursday at home.

Jared McCann came through with two goals and two assists Tuesday as Jordan Eberle and Matty Beniers added one goal and one assist each.

Ryker Evans scored Seattle's other goal and Adam Larsson, Brandon Montour, Chandler Stephenson and Frederick Gaudreau all had one assist.

Phillipp Grubauer made 19 saves in 20 attempts.

Shane Wright scored two goals Thursday with McCann and Montour contributing one goal and one assist apiece.

Beniers also had one goal and Larsson, Stephenson, Gaudreau, Jaden Schwartz and Eberle all had one assist.

Seahawks

Seattle is off until Sunday, Feb. 8 when it meets the New England Patriots for a 3:30 p.m. Super Bowl clash.

The action takes place at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara.

Thunderbirds

Seattle's Western Hockey League squad entertains the Everett Silvertips for 6:05 p.m. Saturday action at the accesso Showare Center in Kent before hosting Penticton there at 5:05 p.m. Sunday.

The Thunderbirds beat the Brandon Wheat Kings by a 7-3 score Tuesday at home.

Stars

Tacoma visits the San Diego Sockers for a 3 p.m. Sunday indoor soccer match.

Colleges

Husky men's basketball

Washington goes to Northwestern for a 5 p.m. Saturday game before coming home to the Alaska Airlines Arena to play Iowa at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The Huskies took a 75-66 loss at Illinois on Thursday.

Hannes Steinbach had 15 points and 12 rebounds for the UW as Wesley Yates III hit 13 points and Zoom Diallo delivered 12 points and 10 assists.

Husky women's basketball

The UW gets a 3 p.m. Sunday visit from Illinois at the Alaska Airlines Arena and Ohio State comes to town at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Washington was a 76-48 winner Tuesday at Rutgers before beating host Maryland, 83-80, in overtime Wednesday.

Sayvia Sellers swished in 38 points in Wednesday's victory and Avery Howell scored 17 and hauled down 11 rebounds.  Brynn McGaughey also had 11 rebounds and Elle Ladine scored 10 points.

McGaughey led with 17 points Monday as Howell hit 16 and Sellers 11.  Iullia Grabovskaia hauled down 17 rebounds.

Cougar men's basketball

Portland pays a 3 p.m. Saturday visit to Washington State at the Beasley Coliseum in Pullman.

The Cougars go to Corvallis to battle Oregon State at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

WSU was a 70-58 winner over Seattle University in Wednesday action, led by the 24 points of Rihards Vavers.

Ace Glass added 14 and ND Okafor 13 and Eemeli Yalaho led with nine rebounds.

Cougar women's basketball

Gonzaga comes to the Palouse for 7 p.m. Saturday action before the Cougars go to California to take on San Diego at 6 p.m. Thursday.

WSU went down to a 102-71 defeat Thursday at Santa Clara.

Eleonora Villa paced the team with 18 points as Mackenzie Chatfield scored 11 and Alex Covill 10.

Redhawk men's basketball

Seattle University plays Pedderdine in a 7 p.m. Wednesday game at home.

The Redhawks absorbed a 70-58 loss at the hands of Washinton State on Wednesday.

Brayden Maldonado led with 12 points and Austin Maurer added 10 as Will Heimbrodt led with seven rebounds.

Redhawk women's basketball

Seattle University travels to Loyola Marymount to play a 2 p.m. Saturday game before hosting San Francisco at 6 p.m. Thursday.

The Redhawks fell at Pepperdine by a 90-63 score Thursday.

Jana Vesic led with 19 points and Andjela Bigovic scored 13 to go with 10 rebounds.

Falcon men's basketball

Seattle Pacific goes to Lacey to take on St. Martin's in a 7:30 p.m. Saturday game before hosting Simon Fraser at 5:15 p.m. Thursday.

The Falcons were edged, 50-49, by Western Oregon on Thursday.

Theo McMillan scored 10 points and led with 12 rebounds.  Grant Coleman also hit 10 points.

Seattle Pacific drops in on Montana State Billings at 1 p.m. Saturday and hosts Western Oregon at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
