Mariners
Next up for Seattle is a trip to Detroit to take on the Tigers at 4:10 p.m. Friday, 10:10 a.m. Saturday and 10:40 a.m. Sunday.
It's on to the four-day All-Star break after that, with four Mariners team members scheduled to take part in the festivities in Atlanta.
Catcher Cal Raleigh is among the contestants in Monday's 5 p.m. Home Run Derby and was voted to start in the 5 p.m. Tuesday All-Star Game itself.
Also chosen for the American League roster from the Mariners were starting pitcher Bryan Woo, relief pitcher Andres Munoz and center fielder Julio Rodriguez.
Left fielder Randy Arozarena was a late addition Friday in place of Rodriguez.
After the break the Mariners come home to T-Mobile Park to play three games against the Houston Astros, starting with a 7:10 p.m. game next Friday.
Raleigh crunched two home runs to lead Seattle to a 6-0 home win over the Pittsburgh Pirates last Friday and Arozarena and Dylan Moore launched one apiece.
Raleigh's first shot landed only three rows short of the top of the second and top deck in left field.
Woo was the starting and winning pitcher in the combined shutout.
Combined shutouts followed the next two days, with the Mariners beating the Pirates by identical 1-0 scores. Luis Castillo started the Saturday shutout and George Kirby started the Sunday shutout.
A solo home run by Arozarena was the only run in Sunday's game.
The Pirates were shut out three-straight games for the first time since 1959 and they became the first team in Major League Baseball history to win three in a row by shutout before being shut out the next three in a row.
Seattle took Monday off to travel to New York, but the team started off its three-game series against the Yankees on the wrong foot with a 10-3 loss Tuesday.
The Mariners scored all three of their runs in the top of the eighth, with Rodriguez ripping an RBI double and Raleigh a two-run home run.
It was Raleigh's 36th home run of the season.
Seattle amassed a four-home run barrage Wednesday but still came up short, 9-6, against the Yankees.
J.P. Crawford and Jorge Polanco hit solo shots early and Arozarena and Cole Young hit two-run shots late in the game. It was the first Major League home run for Young.
Seven no-hit innings by Woo and a 5-0 lead were wasted Thursday as New York scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth and two in the bottom of the ninth to tie it before winning it with one in the 10th.
Polanco hit a three-run home run for the Mariners in the top of the seventh.

Tacoma journeyed to Reno for Tuesday action and topped the Aces, 12-10, before battering them by an 11-0 score Wednesday.
The Aces blanked the Rainiers in a 2-0 game Thursday.

Everett has gone east of the Cascades to pay 7:05 p.m. visits to the Tri-Cities team Friday and Saturday ahead of 1:30 p.m. Sunday Northwest League action.
The Aquasox also get a four-day All-Star break after that.
Everett fell to Vancouver by a 9-2 score last Friday and lost to the same team by a 3-0 score the next night and by a 4-3 score Sunday.
The Aquasox traveled to the Tri-Cities Tuesday and opened a six-game series there with a 9-6 victory before stifling the Dust Devils in a 4-3 game Wednesday.
