Men's soccer has been played at the University of Washington since 1962 and has enjoyed a lot of success
But the biggest moment for the Huskies just came in 2025, when they captured the NCAA national championship with a 3-2 overtime victory over North Carolina State. The highest finish prior to that was in 2021, when they finished second in the nation.
Washington won conference regular season championships 15 times and has appeared in the NCAA tournament 30 times.
This year the Huskies took second to Maryland during the regular Big Ten season and lost to Michigan in the semifinals of the Big Ten tournament before making their successful NCAA tournament run.
All of this year's NCAA games were played on the road, with the final taking place in North Carolina.
The UW advanced as far as the NCAA quarterfinals in 2013, 2019, and 2020 as well as 2021 and 2025.
All of the conference titles were won in what has most recently been known as the Pac-12 before the team moved into the Big Ten Conference.
Washington took those conference championships in 1968, 1972, 1973, 1976, 1982, 1983, 1985, 1987, 1992, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2013, 2019 and 2020.
The Huskies were invited into the NCAA tournament in 1968, 1972, 1973, 1976, 1978, 1982, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2024 and 2025.
The UW plays home matches on its own campus at the 2,200-capacity Husky Soccer Stadium.
Jamie Clark has been the Huskies' coach since 2011. He replaced Dean Wurzberger after he had led the team from 1992 to 2010.
