Everett has been a geographically handy Class A Northwest League affiliate of the Seattle Mariners since 1995, when they also took in Tacoma as their Class AAA affiliate.
The Northwest League has been a high Class A league since 2021 in a switch after being a short season low Class A league previously and playing only from mid-June to early September.
Now the season runs from April deep into September.
Everett won one overall Northwest League title in its 30 years as the Aquasox, coming in 2010.
They also captured a division title that year on their way to the championship series, with other division crowns won in 2002 and 2016.
Everett added a second half championship in 2023 after the season was split.
The Aquasox call 3,682-seat Funko Field home. The stadium off Broadway had previously just been known as Everett Memorial until the sponsorship came along in 2019. It originally opened in 1947.
Making stays in Everett memorable for the players is the fact they are taken in by local host families for the season.
Prior to becoming the Aquasox and its affiliation with the Mariners, Everett was known as the Everett Giants affiliated with the San Francisco Giants from 1984 to 1994.
The Everett Giants won the overall Northwest League title and a division championship in 1985 and also won their division in 1987,
They wore San Francisco's black, orange and white color scheme and the mascot who roamed Everett Memorial was Frank the Hot Dog.
Now the mascot goes by the name of Webbly and the team logo is a picture of a frog catching a baseball with its tongue.
Its colors are Navy, aqua, light green, orange and white.
