Mariners
Seattle took two out of three games at home at T-Mobile Park from the Texas Rangers over the weekend.
After being shut out, 5-0, in Friday's series opener the Mariners bounced back to beat the Rangers by a 7-3 score Saturday before taking Sunday's finale, 5-2.
Seattle started off Saturday's game right, with J.P. Crawford ripping a double and scoring on a Julio Rodriguez single in the first inning.
Dominic Canzone hit a two-run single in the fourth and Luke Raley crunched a solo home run in the sixth. Cole Young hit a two-run single in the eighth and Leo Rivas added an RBI sacrifice fly.
Rob Refsnyder sparked the team with a first inning home run Sunday and Crawford hit a two-run blast in the second inning.
Randy Arozarena tacked on a two-run home run in the fifth for a 5-0 lead and the Mariners held on from there with the help of a scoreless ninth inning thrown by Andres Munoz.
Seattle entertains the Athletics currently of Sacramento at 6:40 p.m. Monday and Tuesday ahead of a 1:10 p.m. Wednesday matinee.
Sounders
Seattle slammed St. Louis by a 4-1 score Saturday at Lumen Field as the Mariners were wrapping up a win over Texas across the street.
Cristian Roldan scored goals in the 22nd and 37th minutes of play for the Sounders and Albert Rusnak put in a penalty kick in the 49th. Osaze De Rosario knocked in the fourth goal in the 86th minute.
Andrew Thomas played goalie.
Seattle hosts FC Dallas for a 7:30 p.m. Saturday match at Lumen Field.
Torrent
Vancouver outgunned the Seattle women's hockey team, 6-5, Saturday at the Climate Pledge Arena.
Hilary Knight scored the Torrent's first goal on an assist from Danielle Serdachny and Julia Gosling and Anna Wilgren put in the second on an assist from Cayla Barnes and Knight.
Barnes scored on an unassisted play in the second period before Wilgren struck on an assist from Theresa Schafzahl and Emily Brown and Serdachny on an assist from Barnes and Anita Tejralova.
But Vancouver scored the last three goals to wrest the win away.
Seattle gets a 7 p.m. Wednesday visit from Minnesota, also at Climate Pledge.
Seawolves
Seattle's rugby team took a 38-29 loss on the road to the California Legion team Sunday evening.
The Seawolves come home to Starfire Stadium in Tukwila to play the Chicago Hounds at 7 p.m. Friday.
Rainiers
Tacoma tallied a 7-6 home victory over Sacramento this past Friday and beat the Rivercats again by a 6-4 score Saturday before being blanked, 1-0, Sunday.
The Rainiers visit Oklahoma City for Pacific Coast League games at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday, 4:05 p.m. Wednesday and 9:05 a.m. Thursday.
Aquasox
Everett emerged as a 7-4 winner Friday at Eugene and lost, 9-3, to the Emeralds on Saturday before defeating them, 10-4, Sunday.
The Aquasox come home to Funko Field to take on Spokane at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and 12:05 p.m. Thursday.
Colleges
Husky baseball
Washington was edged, 6-4, by Michigan State in Friday home action and took a 13-8 loss Saturday before winning Sunday's series finale, 8-5.
The Huskies drop in on Portland at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Husky fastpitch softball
The UW dropped all three games in a series at Oregon over the weekend.
Washington fell to the Ducks by an 8-4 score Friday, lost by a narrow 5-4 margin Saturday and took a 3-1 defeat Sunday.
The Huskies host the UCLA Bruins at 6 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
Cougar baseball
Washington State opened a series in Nevada against UNLV with a 13-2 victory Friday before turning around to take a 12-3 loss Saturday and a 9-8 defeat Sunday.
The Cougars play host to Gonzaga for a 6:05 p.m. Tuesday game at Bailey-Brayton Field in Pullman.
